NOT EVERYONE CAN SAY THEIR BUSINESS STARTED UNDERWATER
Hawaii Diving
It started with an obsession. To document amazing finds freediving and spearfishing in the waters off Oahu, I outfitted a digital camera with an underwater housing. With time and practice, I found myself photographing these experiences for publications like Hawaii Skindiver Magazine.
Experiments in Radiographs
I happened to have access to an x-ray machine at the same time and began experimenting making fine art prints by combining multiple radiograph images.
KEEPING IT REAL ESTATE
I soon found a new subject, which enabled a passion to become a profession. I began photographing buildings and interiors for leading architects, designers, realtors, and shelter publications.
FEATURED PUBLICATIONS
It went well. I was awarded America’s Top Real Estate Photographer by a jury of peers. I traveled through the islands working with the best of the best. The shoot features Oahu’s first LEED-Gold home designed by Long and Associates AIA.
I contributed to dozens of publications including Hawaii Home + Remodeling, Honolulu Magazine, Traditional Home and Modern Luxury.
Travel + Exploration
During my college years in Colorado, I only had a Fujifilm disposable camera to document incredible adventures in the mountains. Discovering photography allowed me to record my later adventures around the world. My camera went with me to rural villages of China, to vineyards of Italy, on the edge of volcanoes, and to the top of new mountains (including a bucket list of mine, seeing the Matterhorn).
HISTORY IN COLOR PROJECT
A commission project restoring old black and white New England photos led to a new experiment with colorization. I dug through photo archives for new subjects and chose colors based on research of historically accurate materials.
